"Behold, I make all things new!"

Dear friends,

Those words from the Book of Revelation are especially appropriate for this month. The Summer is ending and Fall is beginning – although, as I write this, the temperature is in the 90’s! Summer vacations are over, the school year has resumed, and here at the church, we are gearing up for an exciting new season.

With our new addition almost fully completed, a great new Sunday School program starting, the annual Golf Tournament/Family Day on the 9th, the Church Has Left the Building activities on the 16th, walkers preparing for the CROP Walk in October, and a host of other activities, September is a month of new things!

I’d like to say some more about our new Sunday School program. Starting Sunday, September 9th, we will begin a new concept of how Sunday School is taught and experienced. It is called “The Rotation Method.” I’m calling it: “Holy Rotation!” It works like this: we take a story from the Bible and over the course of four or five weeks the story is experienced with arts and crafts, music, creative storytelling, science, and cooking all related to the story. Then we move on to another story and we rotate the various activities again relating to the new story. This will enable us to use a variety of people and their skills through out the Sunday School year. We are really excited about this and we are hoping the children will be as well!

My summer was very busy, full of highs and lows, joy and sadness. So, I am especially looking forward to what God has in store for me, and for all of us, here at First Presbyterian Church, as God “makes all things new” again. Come and experience the new things God is doing at First Presbyterian Church!

Grace, Peace, and Love,

Pastor Bill
